Welcome to our page on Frequently Asked Questions. We recommend that you read through these so that you are well informed in terms of the industry and what you can expect from listing on Lots of Au Pairs.

 

If I list on this website will I definitely get a job?
We cannot guarantee that a family will offer you a position however you are not going to even be found by a registered family if you do not proceed with us, so we highly recommend that you do.

How long will it take to find a position?
Depending on your experience, your availability, your requirements etc. it can greatly determine the amount of time that it takes for a family to elect to meet with you. We therefore recommend that you are flexible and that you do not place a lot of restrictions in terms of what you are and are not willing to do whilst working for a family.

Can I list on multiple position types?
No. You need to select whether you are an au pair, tutor or babysitter. If you want to list for more than one position type you will need to register for each position type.

I am experiencing technical difficulties with listing my profile. What can I do?
Please email support@lotsofaupairs.co.za detailing your problem and we will endeavour to assist you.

Can I get a refund if I do not get a job?
No. We simply send out your profile and we have absolutely no control over whether or not a family elects to meet with you and/or hire you. The registration fee is to cover the service of registering with us and for us to send your CV out to prospectve families. The service does not guarantee that you will be placed.

How much can I expect to earn ?
Please read our salaries link for further information in this regard.

Do I have to register in order for you to send my profile to families?
Yes.

Do I have to register to list my profile?
Yes.

Can I edit and update my profile?
Yes. Simply email support@lotsofaupairs.co.za and we will assist you further.

If I find a position can I delete my profile?
Yes. Simply email support@lotsofaupairs.co.za and we will assist you further.

Why can I not display my telephone number?
We do not allow candidates and families to give out their telephone numbers for their own protection and safety. Unfortunately there are a lot of strange people in this world and this is our way of protecting you! You can always close or change your email account but once someone has your phone number that is a different story.

Will you share my details with anyone else?
No. We are not in the business of selling databases.

Can I hire more than one candidate from this portal?
Yes. You can hire as many candidates as you require, provided that it falls within your selected membership period. One your membership expires then you will need to register and pay again in the event that you wish to use our services again.

If I list on this website will I definitely find a candidate?
We cannot guarantee that a family will find a suitable candidate though we highly recommend that you do register in order to receive CVs of available candidates in your area that match your requirements.
